About the Owners Raymond and Sharon
I, Raymond, moved to Powder Springs in 1972 and have continued to live in the community. I actually grew up less than a mile away from the store. As a child I rode my bicycle in the lot where the store now stands. I attended Tap, Compton and McEachern schools and lived in the neighborhood directly behind the store.
The fact that Treasure Hunt was very near our home in a town where we have roots, had great appeal to us.
We found the Mall when we were looking for an outlet for unwanted family collectables and hoped to find a conduit which would yield sales closer to market value. We discovered that the Mall was nearby and investigated. As we entered the Mall we were pleasantly surprised by the warm sincere greeting we received. Then we discovered there was a booth just the right size to accommodate our needs. Success! As we were leaving the store excited about the future prospects, I mentioned to Sharon these people were so nice I’d like to own a business with such a positive vibe.
Shortly after, we discovered the owners were interested in selling the business. As vendors and owners of a separate booth related business, we were familiar and comfortable with the antique mall business model, which made for a great fit!
We feel that you are never done with a business as commerce is constantly changing. There is always room to explore new opportunities to improve the shopping experience for customers and vendor satisfaction.
